Fathom Actions and Triggers in Workflows
SMBcrm workflows now support Fathom triggers and actions for recordings, transcripts, and summaries. This helps users automate follow-ups, task creation, and internal notifications from meeting conversations.
Teams using Automation can use Fathom meeting data to trigger workflow steps and pass transcript or summary content into downstream actions.
What Changed
New trigger
New Recording starts a workflow when a meeting recording has been created and processed in Fathom.
It provides meeting data such as:
- recording ID
- meeting details
- transcript
- additional recording metadata


New actions
List Recordings
Retrieve available Fathom recordings for the connected account.
What it does:
- fetches recordings for the connected user
- lets you choose recordings for later workflow steps
Fetch Transcript
Retrieve the transcript for a selected recording.
What it does:
- provides the full meeting transcript
- makes transcript content available for AI or other workflow steps
Fetch Summary
Retrieve the AI-generated summary for a selected recording.
What it does:
- provides a concise meeting summary
- supports task extraction, notifications, and follow-up workflows


Setup
To use these triggers and actions, connect your Fathom account in one of these places:
- in Workflow Builder by searching for Fathom and selecting a trigger or action, then choosing Connect Now
- in Settings under Integrations by finding Fathom and connecting your account

Example use cases
- generate personalized follow-up emails from meeting transcripts
- extract action items from summaries and turn them into tasks
- send internal notifications after meetings are processed

When does the New Recording trigger run?
It runs after the meeting recording has been processed and is available in Fathom. The summary may take a few minutes to process after the call ends.
Can Fathom recordings be mapped to contacts?
Yes, but mapping is not automatic. You can match contacts in a workflow using participant details such as email.
Are Fathom actions premium workflow actions?
Yes. The source states that Fathom actions, including fetching recordings, transcripts, or summaries, are premium workflow actions and are charged at the default rate per execution.
