Find Contact Now Searches Secondary Emails and Phone Numbers
The Find Contact workflow action in SMBcrm has been enhanced to search secondary email addresses and phone numbers alongside primary contact fields. This improvement helps locate existing contact records even when individuals use alternate communication methods.
Why This Matters
Previously, the Find Contact action only checked primary email and phone fields. Many businesses maintain multiple contact points per person, such as work versus personal email or mobile versus landline numbers. Without searching secondary fields, workflows could miss valid matches and inadvertently create duplicate records.
Now, with this update, your automations can reliably match contacts regardless of which email or phone number they use to engage.
How to Set It Up
- Open your workflow and add or edit a Find Contact action
- Select the Phone or Email field to search
- Enable the option to include additional phones or emails in the search
That’s all it takes. The action will now check both primary and secondary fields when looking for a match.
